Chris Evans makes his first public appearance since marrying Alba Baptista.
On Friday at New York Comic Con 2023, Captain America star joined fans for photo ops, autograph signings at the Javits Center in the Big Apple.
Evans, 42, was all smiles – and had his wedding ring on display one photo divided into X (formerly known as Twitter) by a fan named Alesia.
“So happy to meet Chris Evans again,” wrote a fan alongside a black-and-white color version of the same picture of herself with the Avengers actor. Evans was all smiles in the picture, but another fan was quick to point out that his new wedding ring was also visible in the shot.
“So cute photo. ☺️ Let me gasp when I see her wedding band on her hand,” X user Lorraine Horton wrote in response to Alesia’s post.
Meanwhile, another X user named Nicole he posted a photo on the platform that featured her alongside Evans at the event. As the actor struck an animated pose that included raising his left arm, his new wedding jewelry was even more visible.
The actor’s appearance at the event in New York marks the first time he has been spotted since getting married Warrior nun actress Baptista, 26, in a private ceremony at an estate in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, on September 9.

After the ceremony, “a big tent and dance floor were set up inside the house,” and music could be heard late into the night, a source told PEOPLE at the time.
That weekend, many of the couple’s famous friends were seen celebrating in nearby Boston. Among those present were Evans’ co-stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan Downey; Scarlett Johansson and her husband Colin Jost; Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky; and Jeremy Renner.
PEOPLE’s 2022 Sexiest Man Alive has been dating the Portuguese actress for “over a year” since November 2022, according to a source at the time. “They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her,” the insider added.
Another source told PEOPLE last month that Evans and Baptista “became serious very quickly” after their first meeting in Europe. – He kept saying that he knew she was the one.
“He’s ready to settle down for a while,” the insider added. “He can’t wait to have a family. He was just waiting for the right girl.”

The Knives out star was one of the featured guests at this year’s NYCC, which runs from October 12-15, alongside actors including Ewan McGregor, David Tennant, Zachary Levi, Tom Hiddleston, Susan Sarandon, Shameik Moore, Pom Klementieff and Ron Perlman.
The annual event, which is “the largest and most exciting popular culture convention on the East Coast,” according to the NYCC website, “is home to the latest and greatest in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies and television. ”

Evans will next play a pharmaceutical sales representative selling opioids in what the film turns out to be a dangerous racketeering scheme Pain Hustlersin theaters on October 20 and streaming on Netflix on October 27.
Directed by David Yates and starring Emily Blunt, Catherine O’Hara, Jay Duplass, Brian d’Arcy James and Andy Garcia, the film is based on true events recorded by Evan Hughes in 2018. New York Times Magazine article and later book, Pain Hustlers: Crime and Punishment in an Opioid Startup.
In an interview published shortly after his wedding, Evans said GQ that he was “excited” to take on the role in the new film.
“I was excited to play that role because it was a real character,” he told the newspaper.
