CHRIS Gauthier, who starred in the films Once Upon a Time and Supernatural, has died at the age of 48.
Talent agency TriStar Appearances/Event Horizon Talent confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement.

They told TVLine, “We can confirm that our dear friend and client, Chris Gauthier, passed away on Friday morning, February 23, at the age of 48.
“As a beloved character actor from Vancouver, Chris has shared his talent with many of us in both television and film.
“His loss is felt not only by his fans, but also by those of us who were fortunate enough to know him better.”
According to his manager, Gauthier “passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after a short illness.”
It added: “On behalf of his family, we ask for privacy during this time so they can properly grieve.”
Gauthier has played some well-loved roles, including Neville in Need for Speed: Carbon and William Smee in Once Upon a Time.
He also had a recurring role as Café owner Diem Vincent on the popular SyFy channel series Eureka.
Tributes are pouring in for the much-loved actor.
Colin O’Donoghue, who played Captain Killian ‘Hook’ Jones in ABC TV’s Once Upon a Time, took to his Instagram page to pay tribute to his friend.

He wrote: “Rest in peace Chris! Heartbroken! My love and thoughts are with Erin and the boys! I’ll miss you bro! You were a real captain!!”
Once Upon a Time co-host Adam Horowitz wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “So sad to hear of the passing of Chris Gauthier. Such a kind, sweet and talented person. We will miss you.”
In addition to numerous TV appearances, Gauthier has also appeared in numerous films, such as Watchmen, 40 Days and 40 Nights, Agent Cody Banks and Freddy vs. Jason.
Gauthier was born in Luton, Bedfordshire, on January 27, 1976.
