Chris Meledandri is now employed at Walt Disney Pictures. Prior to joining Fox, he served as president of Dawn Steel Pictures at Walt Disney Pictures, where he also contributed to the production of Cool Runnings as an executive producer. 20th Century Fox Animation: During his tenure there, he helped grow Fox into a major force in the feature animation industry by producing Ever After A Cinderella Story. He oversaw Fox’s 1998 purchase of Blue Sky Studios, a visual effects and commercial production company, which he later transformed into a lucrative animated film producer.

He led the artistic and commercial activities of Blue Sky, which is currently Fox’s exclusive CGI studio. Meledandri oversaw and/or executive produced a number of films while at the company, such as “Ice Age,” “Ice Age: The Meltdown, Robots,” “Alvin and the Chipmunks,” “The Simpsons” and “Dr. Seuss Horton Hears a Who!” In addition, he worked on two animated films that were both nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film: Gone Crazy and No Time For Nuts.

After the merger is completed, Meledandri will be in charge of both Illumination and DreamWorks.
