Stewart will succeed longtime football radio announcer Eli Gold, who has held the role since 1988. Upon his departure, Crimson Tide Vice President Jim Carabin commented,
“Eli was an extremely useful part of our television crew. We appreciate his years of service and wish him the best in his next chapter.”
Stewart will officially take over during the Golden Flake A-Day spring football game on April 13.
