Chrishell Stause Mourns Death of ‘All My Children’ Costar Billy Miller: ‘I Hope You Are at Peace’

Chrishell Stause remembers her late colleague Billy Miller.

Miller, who was best known for his roles in soap operas Young and restless and General Hospitaldied on Friday in Austin, Texas at the age of 43.

According to a statement from his manager obtained by PEOPLE, Miller was “struggling with manic depression at the time of his death.” No specific cause of death was given.

Selling Sunset star Stause, 42, worked with Miller on All My Children when the Daytime Emmy winner joined the soap as Richie Novak in 2007. Stause played Amanda Dillon from 2005 to 2011.

On Sunday, which would have been the actor’s 44th birthday, Stause paid an emotional tribute to her “friend” and former colleague on Instagram.

Alongside a photo of Miller kissing her on the cheek on the red carpet and a photo of him with the words “Billy Miller 1979-2023” written above, the actress shared that she was still “processing” the news of his departure.

“Too many feelings, but you’re gone too soon and I’m so happy to have been able to work with you all those years, but also to call you a friend. I hope you are calm now 💔🙏”, added Stause.

After starring in All My Children from 2007 to 2008, Miller continued to act Young and restless from 2008 to 2014, winning three Daytime Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Billy Abbott. The star won Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2010 and 2013, as well as Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2014.

His Young and restless co-star Eileen Davidson also paid tribute on social media and shared a throwback of the pair from the 2014 Emmys where they both won awards.

“I’m so saddened to hear that Billy Miller has passed away,” he said The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum wrote ua publish on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sunday. “His infectious charm and warmth left an indelible impression on all of us who were lucky enough to have him in our lives. I will miss that mischievous smile. I love you Billy.”

Miller also starred in the ABC movie General Hospitaljoining the soap as Jake Doe in 2014. He later took over the role of Jason Morgan from Steve Burton from 2016 to 2017, before portraying Morgan’s twin, Drew Cain, for two seasons when Burton returned to the series.
