Christie Brinkley’s children gathered for a special family reunion.
On Thursday, May 23 National Lampoon’s Vacation the actress and former model (70) shared a post on Instagram in which she belatedly watched her Mother’s Day celebration. She explained how her three children stopped by to eat homemade pizza and spend time together for the holidays.
“There’s no place like… H💙ME‼️❤️❤️❤️,” Brinkley began her caption. “All my babies came home for #mothersday and made a ‘Build Your Own Pizza’ lunch! Fun!”
“Thank you @alexarayjoel @ryanjgleason @jackbrinkleycook @sailorbrinkleycook @itsfurtun and @artminsta for these wonderful pictures!” she wrote, tagging her children’s respective partners before noting: “[The] the light was beautiful 😜.”
In the photos, Brinkley can be seen standing in her kitchen with tons of pizza ingredients and toppings spread across the island, while she and her daughters — Alexa Ray Joel, 38, and Sailor Brinkley-Cook, 25 — and son Jack Paris Brinkley Cook, 28 , everyone participates in a group hug. Another photo shows the mum-of-three blowing a kiss to the chef as her children laugh and hug.

Although the model and businesswoman often shares photos of herself and her children, this is a rare occasion when they were all together.
Brinkley shares Alex with ex-husband Billy Joel, and Jack with ex-husband and entrepreneur Richard Taubman. She shares Sailora with architect Peter Cook, who also adopted Jack before their 2008 divorce.

In 2017, the entire family gathered for PEOPLE’s World’s Most Beautiful issue, where they all participated in interviews about their dynamic as a group — as well as opening up about the traits they inherited from their supermodel mom.
“I think the main thing I got from my mom was a sense of adventure,” Jack — an entrepreneur who shied away from the entertainment industry — said at the time. “The ocean is probably my favorite thing in the world. I surf, I sail, I swim. Whatever it is, everything that has to do with the ocean, I learned from her so I think that’s something I got from her because she loves the ocean too.”

“We definitely keep each other humble — we tease each other,” Alexa, a musician like her famous father — chimed in. “It’s very important to be with your family.”
Sailor — who follows in Brinkley’s footsteps and has modeled for publications including Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and Vogue — she added about her mother: “She never acted like a diva. And that’s very, very important to me. I worked with a lot of people, other models, who simply didn’t appreciate where they were and who they were with what they were creating, how much work they put into everything, I’m trying to be grateful.”

Alexa also said at the time that her mom “sees beauty in everything.”
“[She has] endless zest and vivacity for life, like endless!” Alexa told PEOPLE. “She’s never tired. It surprises me because I have never seen her sleep so much. But for some reason, she wakes up perfectly refreshed and cheerful and a little piece of sunshine… She sees good, beauty and art in everything. She sees hearts in the clouds and things people wouldn’t normally notice.”
