Christina Hall Says It's 'Bittersweet' to Let Go of Her Tennessee Farmhouse

Christina Hall may be selling her Tennessee farm in the midst of her divorce from Josh Hall, but the process is anything but simple.

On Tuesday, October 8, Christina’s realtor, Kelly Dougherty, posted a video on Instagram showing off the 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom Leiper’s Fork estate, which is on the market for $4.5 million.

The HGTV star shared her thoughts on selling the 5,000-square-foot home, commenting on the post, “Bittersweet…this was an amazing home.”

According to court documents previously obtained by PEOPLE and filed in July, Christina is the sole owner of the home. His Zillow listing shows the property was purchased for $2.5 million in February 2021 before she and Josh started dating.

A temporary legal agreement between the exes filed in September and obtained by PEOPLE shows they agreed Josh has permission to use the residence as long as it is not rented out.

After Christina first announced she was selling the house on Thursday, Oct. 3, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Josh has been living in the house since their split. It also served as the setting for its spinoff Christina in the countryside.

As she shared news of the sale with her followers, Hall said she was “excited about a new venture in business and real estate,” adding an obvious message about Josh in the following post.

“I guess ‘Leiper’s Fork’ will have to come off the bio soon,” it read. “It’s time to come back to reality… Remember when you said you’d never steal from me or my kids and you’d just be happy in the van with your dog? I guess plans have changed 🤔. All about trying to you take all you can … With your thoughts on my money and my money on your thoughts … 💰🎶 Byeeee✌🏻.”

Christina previously said in an interview with PEOPLE in May 2021 that she bought a farm in Tennessee after visiting a friend with her children.

“Tennessee is beautiful, and the people out there are so nice. Being out there in all that land reminded me of my favorite childhood memories, which were summers on my grandparents’ farm,” she told PEOPLE at the time.

“I felt so carefree and loved taking their quads and hanging out with my relatives all over the country,” she added.

Josh filed for divorce in July and moved out of their $12 million Newport Beach, California mansion in August.
