American Idol star, CJ Harris, 31, dies suddenly after an ‘apparent heart attack’. Even as a cardiologist, I’m old enough to remember when people in their 20s & 30s didn’t regularly die from heart attacks. Perhaps those focused on Covid deaths should focus on sudden deaths! pic.twitter.com/PLkvI1teB1

CJ Harris’ singing career started when he auditioned for American Idol for the second time.

He later applied for The X-Factor and The Voice but was turned down. Harris auditioned for American Idol for the second time in 2014. He was successful this time since he appeared on the program numerous times after making it to the Top 13 finalists list. During an interview after reaching the finals, Harris discussed his earlier failures and commented on his achievements. He stated:
“I auditioned for The X-Factor but didn’t make it through the first round. I tried out for The Voice but didn’t make it, which disappointed me. It really did. So I went home, and that’s when I decided to quit performing in bars. I needed to get my act together and figure out who I was.”
During the conversation, the singer also discussed how he came upon another opportunity to audition for American Idol and took it. CJ received a thumbs-up from the judges as he made it to the “Top 6” contenders at the age of 23. Harris reportedly knew how to play the piano and was inspired by Usher and Keith Sweat. In Love, his first and only song was released in 2019. CJ’s future ambitions, however, remain unknown after his untimely demise. CJ Harris’ marriage or relationship status remained unknown to the public at the time of his death since the artist never disclosed it on any platform.
