Claire Kittle Reveals What Goes into Her 49ers Game-Day Glam — From Hair Hacks to Outfit Planning (Exclusive)

Football games turn into fashion shows when Claire Kittle shows up.

The 30-year-old Iowa native, who is married to San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, has become one of the NFL’s famous WAGs — and that’s, in part, because of her bold style.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Claire, who is currently partnered with Gatorade, shares a few secrets to creating a look that will take her from the pregame party to the ballpark.

“It’s so much fun to do,” she says, getting ready for her husband’s games. “It’s probably the only day of the week I get dressed up.”

It takes work, and finding all of her unique 49ers-coded clothing and “85” accessories—and then styling them—requires a decent amount of planning.

“I try to collect things before the season starts, so I can have options,” he says. She needs about a week or two before the game to take it all in.

Olivia Culpo wears black to cheer on Fiancé 49ers quarterback Christian McCaffrey at his 2024 Super Bowl debut.

“I love finding vintage shirts and sweatpants or jackets. The 49ers have really, really amazing stuff from the 80s and their Super Bowl runs are just iconic. They don’t make that kind of stuff anymore, so I just try to keep my eyes open, and whatever comes my way, I’ll grab it and try to incorporate it into different outfits.”

He also has his 49ers girlfriends Kristin Juszczyk and Olivia Culpo (who are married to running back Kyle Juszczyk and running back Christian McCaffrey, respectively) to lean on for style input.

“We’ll send something and maybe someone will say, ‘Oh, you should put these shoes and this bag with it,’ or something,” she says of what happens in their group chat. “It’s a collaboration. We’ll all still do our own thing. We’ll listen – but maybe we won’t do what the other person says,” he teases.

There’s also the magic that happens in the glam chair.

Claire likes to prep her skin with hyaluronic acid and moisturizer before her makeup artist, Arbella Yousif, gives her a full look. Plus, she stays hydrated by drinking lots of water, of course (she likes to mix her H20 with Gatorade’s Hydration Booster electrolyte powders, which come in a variety of flavors, from Citrus Berry to Tropical Mango).

As for who perfects Claire’s signature elegant look? “I do my own hair,” she says. “I like a slick bun or a ponytail. I’ll just slick it back [my hair] back with my brush after straightening it [use] light transparent gel on top. It really stays.”

The growing popularity of WAG culture has fueled a new wave of football fans, especially young girls. And Claire’s stylish presence in the stands has become so famous that she says fans have started asking for photos of her – without her husband. Those moments are “sweet” for her.

“There were times when it was George and me, and a girl would just come up to me and just want a photo with me. He’s like, ‘That’s great, that’s so cool.’ It still makes me laugh a little, but I’m like, ‘See, I’m cool.’ It really warms my heart.”
