Country music’s biggest night is finally here!

Live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, the 2024 Country Music Association Awards are set to honor country music’s most extraordinary acts of the past year, with appearances by some celebrities from the worlds of sports, movies and everything in between.

With Morgan Wallen leading the nominees list with seven total nominations, and A-listers such as Kelsea Ballerini, Jelly Roll and Luke Combs expected to take the stage, keep reading to find out everything you need to know about the 2024 CMA Awards.

Move over Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning — a new fluffy bell-shaped queen has joined the party. Lainey Wilson, who made history last year when she became the only artist to ever lead nominations in the first two times on the ballot, will join Bryan and Manning as hosts of the ceremony this year.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be hosting the CMA Awards this year with Luke and Peyton. It’s such an amazing honor and something I’ve always dreamed of doing. We’re planning a really great show for you all, so be sure to tune in on November 20,” he said. Wilson in a press release.

Who is nominated at the 2024 CMA Awards?

This year’s list of nominees is led by Wallen, who received seven nominations in categories including the prestigious award for Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year.

Chris Stapleton and Cody Johnson earned five nominations, while Post Malone and Lainey Wilson each earned four.

Multiple stars, including Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, Kacey Musgraves, Combs and producer/songwriters Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome and Hoskins, received three nominations in their respective categories.

Absent from the list was Beyoncé, who earlier this year became the first black woman to reach number one Billboard Top country albums chart with Cowboy Carter and the Hot Country Songs chart with her song “Texas Hold ‘Em.”

Along with Ballerini, Jelly Roll and Combs, the live act includes Brooks & Dunn, Musgraves, Eric Church, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Ella Langley, Noah Kahan, Megan Moroney and Bailey Zimmerman.

Bryan, Wilson, Dierks Bentley, Sierra Hull, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, Ashley McBryde, Post Malone, Shaboozey, Chris Stapleton, Teddy Swims, Thomas Rhett and Molly Tuttle round out the artist list.

Who Will Receive the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 CMA Awards?

The Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, first introduced in 2012, is given to “an iconic artist who has achieved the highest degree of recognition in country music.”

Receiving the honor this year is George Strait, who Sarah Trahern, chief executive officer of the CMA, described in a statement as “authentic Texas and authentic country.”

“As a three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year and the most nominated artist of all time, he serves as an inspiration and icon to many of the great, new artists we know today. I’m thrilled to be giving him this well-deserved honor,” she said.

How can you watch the 2024 CMA Awards?

The 58th Annual CMA Awards will air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, November 20 on ABC. It follows the next day on Hulu. Ahead of the show, there will be a pre-show stream on Hulu and OnTheRedCarpet.com beginning at 6 p.m.
