- If you have added more than one security question, you can skip the previous one and answer the next one (since I added 2 security questions to my Yahoo account, so I had the option to answer either one). Enter the answer to the security question and click ‘Confirm’.
- Once you are done with that, you will be able to create a new password for your account. After that, you can sign out and then sign in to your Yahoo account with your new password.
It is the only option you can use to recover your Yahoo account without using a recovery phone number or email address. However, this option may not be useful if you have not added any security questions to your Yahoo account.
Also, according to the official Yahoo site, security questions are no longer considered a safe recovery option so users are advised to remove them or Yahoo will remove security questions when a user adds a phone number or an email address to recover your account. Another option for Yahoo account recovery if you’ve lost access to your phone number or email address and can’t reset your password is to get Yahoo Live Customer Support. You can contact Yahoo support officers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 800-305-7664.
But there is a catch here. This option is only for users of Yahoo Plus (a paid service from Yahoo). If you’ve upgraded to Yahoo Plus, you can call them directly for live support, even for a minor issue like changing your password.
