I realized the importance of group calls when I was in quarantine at home due to the coronavirus outbreak. I can’t get together with my family, friends, without parties; My work is pending and what is not. I felt stuck on how to use my time, how to connect with friends, or how to speed up my business. I know I can call or social networks are still alive. But still, I was looking for something that would be more fun and useful at the same time.
I know I’m not the only one facing this, so I’m sharing it with my readers.
I have always heard of the phone conferencing and video conferencing programs available, but have never used them. But the situation I find myself in has forced me to install Skype. Yes, Skype is the only tool I use for all group calls to my family, friends or associates.
In 2019, Skype doubled the group audio/video call limit from 25 to 50 participants.
Isn’t that huge?
Whether you’re calling friends or colleagues, Skype will be your next best friend.
How to set up a Skype conference call?
To get started with Skype conference calls, make sure you’ve installed the app on whatever desktop or mobile phone you’re using. Skype video calls are easy to set up and completely free. HD video calling is no joke on Skype, and the experience is just like talking to someone face to face. But for that you have to meet some technical conditions.
- A fast smartphone or computer
- high definition camera
- Fast internet with enough bandwidth
In his absence, Skype will not help you.
Note: If any of the group call participants have slow internet; he could disrupt the entire conference.
