Connie Britton dressed up for the Emmys before finding out she had to go somewhere else!
On Thursday, American Horror Story the actress shared photos on Instagram of herself posing in what was supposed to be her Emmy dress.
In the title of the post, she explained why she could not attend the event. She was set to reunite with her former co-stars on the FX show, Dylan McDermott and Rubber Man (played by Anthony host Anthony Anderson at the awards show).
“Dear @dylan.mcdermott and #Rubberman, I’m so sorry I had to miss joining you on Monday at the #Emmyawards for the @ahsfx reunion!” Britton (56) captioned the post. “Even though at least one, if not both, impregnated me with the antichrist, I was really looking forward to seeing you on that big Emmy stage and reminiscing about the good old spooky days.”

Britton continued, “I wanted to send my “Emmy pictures” because that’s what I got before I was informed that due to the snow storm in New York I had to jump on the next plane to get to work on time the next day.”
She thanked her glam squad before joking: “I was definitely the most decorated person on my cross country flight that night!”
The Bright Friday night star concluded the post by congratulating all the nominees and winners on Monday night. “And #Rubberman… don’t be a stranger. Love me Connie,” she added.

In the photos, Britton is wearing the blush pink Maticevski dress with a partial train and daring slit that she was set to wear to the 75th Emmy Awards, her stylist Katie Bofshever confirmed on Instagram on Thursday. Britton’s shoes were Le Silla, and she even accessorized with Irene Neuwirth jewelry.
Britton was scheduled to present the outstanding lead actor in a limited series or movie category with McDermott, 62, before she was warned that a snowstorm in New York would prevent her from making it to the set if she didn’t get on the next plane. her upcoming miniseries Day zero.
McDermott and Britton played married couple Ben and Vivien Harmon in the first season AHS, known as the “House of Murder”.
