Fans of her character, Eileen Grimshaw, needn’t worry as Sue will be back on familiar street very soon.

Speaking to OK! magazine, the star revealed: “I’ve finished Sister Act, but I miss everyone so much.

Sue added that she had “the most amazing time” on the production, but admitted that “you have to finish one thing to start the next.”

While her return to Corrie is imminent, she certainly isn’t ruling out another return to the stage.

She said: “I definitely think I will do more on stage. The stage is where I started. Theater has always been my first love. Now that I’m back, it won’t be my last.

Coronation Street fans stunned as Eileen Grimshaw looks unrecognizable – asking ‘did they recast her-!’

She previously said: “I always say I don’t live with diabetes, diabetes lives with me. So I live my life like anyone else. I have a busy life and I continue to

Sue added: “When I was first diagnosed it scared me. Since I started using Dexcom, it has taken all the guess work out, all the unknown.

“I’ve always had my HbA1c and I’ve always been under a consultant and monitored everything, but that only took the pressure off a little bit. I see what my averages are. I see what my patterns are. It relieved me of many worries.”

“And if that got you carried away, I’m very sorry. That’s unheard of. I just want you to know that I would never, ever advocate such a thing.”
