But in Coronation Street, it seems that moment has finally arrived for long-time viewers of the soap.

Next week, Nick (Ben Price) will decide to tell Leanne the details of his relationship with Toyah (Georgia Taylor).

But before he can do that, a policeman will arrive and deliver the sad news that Leanne’s (Jane Danson) dad, Les, has died on the job.

Leanne will be completely shocked as she goes to find her sister to tell her the news, but Nick will quickly call Toyah to warn her.

Sisters embrace in a surprising move of unity as they come together in a moment of grief.

However, it soon becomes apparent that Toyah already knew the news and will leave Leanne confused again as she admits that Nick called her.

Nick will pretend that he simply called Toyah inquiring about the Bistro’s schedule and that the news accidentally slipped out.

Toyah will once again come to Nick’s defense as Leanne becomes even more suspicious.

Wanting to find out more, she opens Nick’s laptop only to find a reservation for a holiday in Tenerife.

Leanne will then call the hotel to find out about her sister’s actions.

Later, Chesney (Sam Aston) will also be stressed as he continues to struggle with his financial situation.

He and Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) are still struggling to make ends meet, and with five children to feed and clothe, life is taking its toll.

The kebab shop worker will then tell Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) about his relationship with Les, admitting that they weren’t that close.
