CORONATION Street star Sair Khan is returning to work after the birth of his first child.
The star – who has played Alya Nazir in the ITV soap since 2014 – gave birth to her baby boy in April.

Sapunica revealed her pregnancy in December last year.
Sair shares her child with partner Nathan Chilton.
The actress worked for most of her pregnancy and left the soap just weeks before her due date.
Viewers saw her character almost become romantically involved with her boss Adam Barlow before deciding to take a job opportunity in Dublin.
But today, Sair took to Instagram to share how she was back on set.
She let fans know she’s filming Coronation Street again by sharing a snap of the soap’s script with the caption “I’m Backstreet”.
Meanwhile, Sair welcomed her baby in April with a sweet post featuring her partner Nathan cradling the tot.
She captioned the sweet clip with the words: “He’s here!
“Okay, when I said ‘Spring Awakening’ in my last post, I didn’t mean ‘keep me awake.'” The new parent zombie look is definitely a thing, isn’t it.

“More importantly, our boy is simply fantastic. He is very serious and curious about the world.
“He is super strong and so resilient that he joined me on the absolute rollercoaster that was our 22 hours of work.
“We didn’t quite get the birth I was hoping for, but that’s okay (two birth pools, no water birth).”
Sair called birth “raw and primal” and revealed that a baby’s first days are a steep learning curve.
She continued: “We are so far from the beginning and I am so incredibly grateful for our healthy baby, for Nathan and for the amazing support network around us for their patience, generosity and late night voice notes that kept me going.

Sair found love again in 2021, two years after her heartbreaking breakup, when she started dating chiropractor Nathan.
She broke up with fellow soap star Simon Lennon in 2019 after appearing on I’m A Celebrity.
A source said at the time: “They have been dating since late last year after meeting through a mutual friend.
“Things have been going really well and it’s no secret that they’re in love with each other. Everyone’s hoping she’s found the One.”
Sair appeared in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! 2018 and starred in Channel 4’s Sink Or Swim.
The actress has had a number of tough stories over the years – including being shot and the victim of a plot by far-right extremists.
