Counting On: Jana Duggar Shows Family’s Yuletide Mood Amid Josh’s Conviction

Jana’s post comes shortly after her brother Josh’s lawsuit. It’s safe to say that the Duggar brothers mustered up their courage to celebrate the holiday.

In recent months, they have faced questions around Josh’s trial and eventual sentencing. Authorities arrested Josh last April and in November he was found guilty of two counts of receiving and possessing child pornography. Josh has yet to be convicted but he could face up to 20 years in prison on all counts.

Jana recorded a video showing how her family prepares for the holiday in the days leading up to Christmas. By Christmas, many video clips and photos appeared on Jana’s Instagram page. The first of several clips is titled “Christmas is coming!” and was released on December 23, 2021. Jana showed clips of her family cozying up in the colorful Silver Dollar City. The next post is on Christmas Day and Jana shows off her tall willow tree and other decorations displayed throughout the house. The December 27, 2021 post shows the family opening Christmas presents as well as a photo of each family member enjoying the festivities. Jana doesn’t skimp on photos of their Christmas presents.

More posts from the 31-year-old show the Duggar family entertaining fans to music as they tuck and play Christmas tunes. Jana shows the heartwarming moment her brothers Jed, Jeremiah, Justin, Jason and James gather around the grand piano to play Christmas carols. Through the countless photos and videos she shares, the former 19 Kids & Counting star shows no pictures of Josh or his wife, Anna Duggar.

Family performance after Josh’s arrest based on was withdrawn and TLC confirmed that the show would no longer be aired. This has followed a similar pattern since 2015, when Josh was first accused of sexually inappropriate behavior with young girls, including his sister Jill Duggar. At the time, the family’s previous show, 19 Kids & Counting, was withdrawn from TLC. After Josh is convicted and the Duggar family celebrates Christmas, it seems the celebrity family is focusing on better days ahead as they await Josh’s sentencing.
