Country musician David Morris and model Miranda Harrison “I do” in a dreamy vintage-inspired ceremony.

The singer and influencer, who have been together for 10 years, tied the knot on October 7 at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, California, a landmark hotel that combined their love of kitsch and retro glamour.

The eclectic-yet-romantic venue was a “no-brainer” because it “matched the tone and aesthetic of the wedding” so much so that almost no decorations were needed, the couple tells PEOPLE exclusively.

A tangible testament to Harrison’s love of “vintage aesthetics and romance” — an affection that’s evident with a quick glance at her Instagram — the retro ceremony resembled a vintage Valentine’s card come to life.

Pink and red dominated, while accents of gold, blue, green and purple enhanced the ceremony’s warm, retro aesthetic, along with vintage motifs like cherubs and hearts. (Even the couple’s six-tier raspberry wedding cake was heart-shaped.)

The bride and groom wanted their special day to be “unique” — and “most importantly, fun” — for both them and their 111-strong guest list, which included Tana Mongeau and Orange is the new black actress Rebecca Knox.

But above all else, the ceremony was a family affair, which was especially fitting for Morris and Harrison, whose families share a special bond that surprised them both.

Years into their relationship, the couple stumbled across a photo from Harrison’s fourth birthday – and they were both in it. Soon after, they found out why: Morris’ father and Harrison’s mother were work colleagues in the 1990s.

Fittingly, the former co-workers — along with several other family members — played a central role in the wedding.

Harrison’s godmother officiated, and her mother, along with Morris’ father, were the wedding readers. Harrison’s nieces, ages 1 and 3, were flower girls and after she said “I do,” the couple’s maltipoo, Lotus, walked the newlyweds down the aisle.

However, it was Harrison’s strapless, vintage-inspired Ilaria Gown by Katherine Tash that stole the show, especially on the model’s wedding TikTok content, which garnered more than 20 million views and 4 million likes.

Both Morris and Harrison are singers and songwriters, so of course music was also a highlight of the vintage-inspired ceremony – and, like the wedding, it was a charming blend of old and new.

The groom walked down the aisle to the ’70s love song, “I Choose You” by Willie Hutch, and met the bride down the aisle to the modern hit, “Yebba’s Heartbreak” by Drake. After exchanging vows, both traditional and handwritten, their kiss and exit was accompanied by the rom-com classic, “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer.

At the reception, the bride and groom celebrated a special memory with their first dance to the song “Harvest Moon” by Neil Young.

The couple saw Young perform the song at the 2016 Desert Trip music festival in Indio, California, and thought it “perfectly” described their relationship and how they’ve grown together, they tell PEOPLE.

Later in the night, one of Morris’ best men, Eddie Traynor, treated guests to an energetic DJ set with an impromptu performance by the groom, rapping his song “Dutton Ranch Freestyle”.

For Morris, who popped the question in August 2021, the wedding was just the cherry on top of his 10-year relationship with Harrison — and the beginning of the rest of their life together.

“To me, a wedding is about putting the stamp on an amazing relationship,” says the country singer. “To speak to each other and to the world this one is my person. And I can’t live without her.”

Adds Harrison: “After 10 years together, getting married means we continue to choose each other every day and move forward as a unit, a family and a partnership.”

According to the model, her favorite thing about her husband is how he looks at life. “David’s outlook on life is unlike anyone I’ve ever met,” she tells PEOPLE. “His positivity, aspirations and selflessness for others motivate me to be a better version of myself every day.”

For Morris, it’s his wife’s “love and kindness,” which he says “knows no bounds.”

“The way he treats me, his friends and family, his nieces, it’s the most beautiful thing in the world,” he says. “We’ve grown so much together over the past 10 years and we’re so in tune that I couldn’t imagine my life or my future without her.”
