Couple Says They Were 'Super Unprepared' for Their Stay in Glass Hotel Room: 'Completely Vulnerable'

The adventurous couple stayed in a glass hotel room in Ibiza — but say they were completely “unprepared” for the unconventional experience.

In a video shared on the TikTok account A Pretty Cool Hotel Tour, Margaret Bienert explained the avant-garde room decor alongside footage of her and her husband, Corey Bienert, from their stay at the Hotel Paradiso a few years ago.

“When I say glass box hotel room, I mean literal glass box in the lobby of the hotel. We were super unprepared for the experience,” she said, before stating that she had no idea what to expect when they arrived.

“All I knew going into this was that when you book you can stay one night for free, and I thought it was such a funny idea so of course I wanted to try it,” Margaret continued.

In the video, Margaret and Corey can be seen lying in bed in the room, while other hotel guests walk around and socialize in the lobby that surrounds the glass room.

The couple quickly discovered some less than ideal features of the room. “We discovered that the lights never go off and you’re actually on display all night,” Margaret said, as the video showed a guest using his phone to take a photo of them trying to sleep in their room.

“Then I realized that this is an art hotel, so whoever sleeps in that room is only part of the night,” she continued, before sharing her advice to anyone who wants to experience their own glass room stay.

“Here are a few ideas I wish I had prepared last time to entertain guests instead of just feeling completely vulnerable inside all night,” Margaret said. Her ideas for fun included performing Taylor Swift’s entire Eras tour, performing live by painting and displaying a sign saying she would kiss anyone through glass for $5.

“Anyway, it seems to me that there is so much room for creativity in this room – unfortunately, I just wasn’t ready,” she concluded in the video, which has garnered almost 2 million views. “So I have to leave it up to a future guest to make one or two of these things so yeah, let me know if you try.”

In the comments of the post, it appeared that very few of the couple’s followers were willing to take the opportunity to stay in the glass room. Many seemed put off by what one person described as the “dystopian” aspect of the glass room.

“I had a nightmare like this,” joked another, while someone echoed the same sentiment, writing: “I would scream the whole time.”

Some viewers had burning questions for Margaret, such as, “Does the hotel have any restrictions on what you can’t do while in the room?” to which she replied, “You know, we weren’t given any rules. And it’s an adults-only hotel 🤷‍♀️.”

Margaret answered other frequently asked questions in the following video, assuring her followers that you have a private bathroom – complete with shower and toilet – when you stay in the glass room.

She also clarified that the room was not fully soundproofed, so not only could the other guests hear her and Corey in their room, but they could hear all the lobby noise from inside.

“So you definitely need earplugs, an eye mask, all of that,” Margaret recommended.
