Courteney Cox says she took design inspiration from her daughter when creating the look for her home care brand, Homecourt.

Speaking on Inc. 5000 to the 45th Annual Conference & Gala.

“She gives great advice. Yes,” the Friends alum said of Coco, 20, who inspired the brand’s Cocomoi collection, released earlier this year. “When I was doing the mood board for Cocomoi, I told her the idea of what I wanted,” Cox recalled, explaining that she thought it should look “green and wet and woody.”

Cox says Coco, who she shares with ex David Arquette, put together “the most beautiful record” to represent the fragrance.

With Cocomoi, Cox branched out into body care, releasing a perfume, body wash, body mist and body butter, along with a candle.

“I’m really, really proud of it,” she said of the new collection, adding Coco’s input, “She has great taste and a great attitude.”

Cox said she mixed the scent, which includes notes of coconut, pepper and cedarwood, in a perfumery before asking her daughter to evaluate the final product.

“I collected a lot of different things and I gave Coco a few choices, hoping she would pick one that I knew I would use,” she said. “And it is.”

While the mother-daughter duo may agree on fragrance, there is one area where they differ.

Cox, who is a self-proclaimed “clean freak” like her icon Friends character told PEOPLE last month that Coco “doesn’t” share her passion for organizing and cleaning.

“Every once in a while she’ll say, ‘Mommy, I cleaned my room and I feel so good.’ And I say, ‘That’s a feeling you can have all the time,’ but it just doesn’t happen,” Cox said.

“She’s getting older and living on her own, and she’s proud of it, which I think is a good thing,” Cox added. “But no, I don’t think she has my gene in the same way that I don’t have hers. Listen, she’s a great singer. She is a great writer. She has so many qualities that I don’t have, so that’s fine.”
