The arrest comes nearly four months after detectives continued their investigation into the 27-year-old stabbing. The social media influencer, also known as Coutney Tailor, was arrested in Hawaii on Wednesday. She is currently awaiting extradition to Florida, where she will face second-degree murder charges for the alleged death of her lover in April. As a result of her post-traumatic stress disorder and substance abuse, the model was first admitted to a treatment clinic in Hawaii. Her lawyer, however, reported that she has now been arrested by the authorities.

Frank Prieto, her defense attorney, expressed disbelief at her detention and stated:
“I am very surprised, especially since we assisted in the investigation and promised to hand her over freely if she is charged.” We are excited to clear her name in court.”

The 25-year-old was born on April 21, 1996 and has developed a sizable fan base on Instagram, where she has more than two million followers. Clenney became an influencer after participating in various modeling competitions.
She later starred in commercials for Pepsi, Celebration Church, Cirrus Logic and Discount Dollars. Courtney Clenney also made brief appearances on television and in films. She has appeared in many films including The Lying Game, Unstalkable, Boyhood, American Psycho and Everybody Wants Some!!
What is going on with Courtney Clenney and Christian Obumseli?
Around 5 p.m. on April 3, 2022, the police allegedly received a panicked contact from an Instagram model. She told authorities that she was in a confrontation with Obumseli when he suddenly grabbed her by the neck, prompting her to stab him in self-defense. When officers arrived at the home, they found the man covered in blood and transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The bloodied Courtney Clenney building in Miami was also seen on the video. The couple had been together for about two years and were separated at the time of the heinous crime. They lived together for many months in an apartment complex, where employees saw numerous cases of domestic violence and even tried to evict them. Obumseli’s relatives and friends chided the police for not charging Courtney Clenney sooner. Larry Handfield, attorney for the Obumseli family, said:
“All the family wants is responsibility.” That’s all the family wants. Courtney claimed it was self-defense, and they believed her, so there was no need for an investigation. The investigator reached his conclusion less than 24 hours after arriving at the scene. It is very wrong and should never happen.”
At the time of writing, no further information was available on Clenney’s arrest. The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office said in a news release that further information on the homicide investigation will be released Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
