Who is Craig Doyle?
Craig, 52, grew up in Stillorgan, Dublin before moving to London to attend London College of Printing, where he studied television journalism. He continues to host radio shows, including BBC Radio Suffolk, and his first appearance on ITV was in 1995 for the Disney Club.

He went on to present Capital Radio and Tomorrow’s World, and also had his own RTE One talk show, Tonight with Craig Doyle. He is currently the main presenter of BT Sport Premiership, European Rugby Champions Cup and MotoGP.
Is Craig Doyle married?
Craig married his longtime girlfriend, Doon Doyle, in 2002. The couple have four children, Quin, Muireann, Mila and Elsa, and a home in County Wicklow, as well as Kew, West London.
Speaking of meeting his wife on RTE, he explained: “I was at home in Ireland right before I started Tomorrow World and my friend said to me ‘Doyler! I have to meet this bird! I tried my best with her but it didn’t happen,” She worked part-time at the gym before starting college, and I went to the gym with her. I don’t even bring gym equipment.

“I was wearing a pair of shorts and a pair of shoes, I looked like a bitch and I met her and thought ‘My God!’ We were on our third date, a date, we were at Greystones and we had a drink and a walk and when I left I shook her hand. [expletive] and said, ‘It was a date. Why don’t you kiss me?’ I was really scared. I like her, you see.”
Will Craig Doyle be the new main host of This Morning?
While there’s been no official announcement from ITV, fans love Craig’s appearance on the show, with many calling for him to become a regular. One person tweeted: “Loved Craig Doyle’s dry sense of humor on @ThisMorning, he also asks guests reasonable questions, he is so relaxed that even Alison has calmed down a bit. should definitely be considered for a permanent role (with Josie.)”

Another added: “I see Craig Doyle as the main host of #Thismorning today. Good! Please, please, give him a permanent job!”
A third added: “He has a natural, easy way of expressing himself and feels authentic. Maybe it’s an Irish thing. He has a great sense of humour but is always serious when necessary and respectful of guests. A great addition to the team.”
Who should replace Phillip Schofield on This Morning?
In addition to Craig, many names have been suggested as possible replacements for Phillip, including Dermot O’Leary, Rylan Clark, Ben Shephard, Vernon Kay and Joel Dommett.

Why is Phillip Schofield off This Morning?
Phillip left the show after growing tensions between him and Holly Willoughby were reported, leading to him eventually revealing that he was in a “consensual relationship with a younger co-star”.

The statement read: “Although I met that man when he was a teenager and was offered to help him get into television, it wasn’t until he started working on the show. Only then will it become a friendship. This relationship is unwise, but not illegal. Now it’s over.”

He continued: “In an attempt to protect my former colleague, I have been dishonest about this relationship. But my recent departure from This Morning, unrelated, has sparked speculation and raises questions that affect him, so for his sake it is important that I be sincere now.”
