Tory MP Crispin Blunt tonight revealed he has been arrested on suspicion of rape and drug possession.
The former minister (63) has been suspended and must stay away from parliament pending a police investigation.

Mr Blunt, an MP for Reigate, Surrey, denies wrongdoing.
We published the story online at 16:30, then at 18:00 the former minister posted on Twitter/X saying that he was a politician involved.
He said he has been interviewed twice – the last time on Wednesday under caution.
But he denied guilt and accused the person behind the allegations of attempted extortion.
Mr Blunt wrote: “An MP was reported to have been arrested yesterday in relation to allegations of rape. I confirm that the representative was me.”
The party suspended the father of two and told him to stay out of parliament.
Surrey Police said a man was arrested in Horley on Wednesday on suspicion of rape and possession of a controlled substance.
Police added: “He has been released on conditional bail pending the conclusion of the investigation.”
Mr Blunt said in May 2022 that he was standing down as MP for Reigate at the next election.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s party has been rocked by allegations of sleaze in the past year.
Another Tory MP has been released on bail over sexual assault allegations.
And former deputy chief whip Chris Pincher resigned from parliament after the false allegations.
Former minister Peter Bone was suspended for six weeks for abuse and sexual assault.
The party did not announce itself.
