CT Tamburello, Cara Maria Sorbello and More Vets Return for ‘The Challenge: Battle for a New Champion’

Challenge: USA season 2 may still be underway, but fans of the competition can already look forward Challenge season 39

On Tuesday, MTV declared a “new era.” Challenge begins its next season, The battle for the new champion, premiere on October 25.

Challenge: The battle for the new champion, hosted by TJ Lavin, will feature 24 contestants looking for their first Challenge win. They will have to face not only each other, but also the rotating lineup Challenge veterans in sudden eliminations to win their first title.

Lineup of Challenge vets appearing on The battle for the new champion features Brad Fiorenza, Cara Maria Sorbello, Laurel Stucky, CT Tamburella and Darrell Taylor.

Fiorenza, 42, is returning to the MTV competition show for the first time since 2018. Final reckoningalthough he appeared on All stars 2 and All stars 3 on Paramount+. Sorbello was the 37-year-old’s first appearance since 2019 War of the Worlds 2.

A series of Instagram posts in 2021 featuring a page from her diary and her horse Garnett led fans to believe Sorbello had decided to retire from Challengebut she clarified that Hey! News that she had no plans to stop competing in the show.

“In short: I’m not retiring,” she said. “The post was created by visiting home and reading old diaries from the beginning of my life Challenge a journey. I was reminiscing and my heart was heavy at the loss of my Garnett. She was a big part of keeping my spirit alive during my Challenge career on and off the field.”

The group of contenders seeking their first championship includes “Big T” Fazakerley, Jay Starrett, Melissa Reeves, who found out she was pregnant during Total madness finals, and Horacio Gutiérrez and Olivia Kaiser, who reached the finals in their first season, Ride or dieearlier this year.
