The weather is getting cooler, and with it, hot chocolate treats at Dairy Queen.
The ice cream chain is bringing back two favorite winter-inspired treats on November 25: Peppermint Hot Cocoa Blizzard Treat and Frozen Hot Chocolate.
The first returns as the December blizzard of the moon. The dessert is a mix of candy pieces, chocolate chips and soft-serve chocolate cake before being topped with whipped cream and candy sprinkles.
The latter combines chocolate cream, vanilla soft serve and Dairy Queen’s Misty Slush. The treat is decorated with whipped topping and chocolate topping.
DQ’s frozen hot chocolate took TikTok by storm earlier this year when a Dairy Queen employee revealed that the seasonal item can be made anytime.
McDonald’s is bringing back the holiday pie for a limited time
“It’s been off the menu since then, but technically we can make it year-round,” TikTok creator @DairyQueenShelbyTwp, whose real name is Miranda, said in the video.
Through the clip, Miranda, who has amassed more than 2 million followers by sharing her creations as a Dairy Queen worker, shared the process of making one of the chocolate desserts from start to finish. Misty Slush, vanilla soft serve and chocolate cake are available year-round so customers can recreate the festive selection outside of the holiday season.

Starbucks has its own chilled menu items for the holidays. On November 7, the cafe launched a holiday refreshment: the Cran-Merry Orange Refresher.
The drink comes in three varieties – original, Cran-Merry Orange Lemonade Refresher and Cran-Merry Drink – and each has the same juicy taste but with a different base. All three drinks feature orange, cranberry and warm spice flavors, plus green coffee extract for a light caffeine kick, according to a press release. They are topped with dried cranberries for a festive look. Original Cran-Merry Orange Refresher is mixed with water, Cran-Merry Orange Lemonade Refresher is mixed with lemonade, and Cran-Merry Drink is mixed with coconut milk.
