Dakota Johnson knows all about Celsius thanks to her new short film!
The Madame Web star, 34, shared in an interview with Diversity on Saturday, September 7 that she recently realized that Celsius is an energy drink after consuming it in large quantities on the set, as a director, of her short film Loser Baby.
“I discovered Celsius on [the first day] filming a short film and I didn’t know it was Red Bull,” Johnson admitted to the outlet.
The director explained that she “thought it was just vitamins” and considered it a “natural drink” because the drink stated that it contained “B12 and vitamin A”.

“I thought, ‘I’m so inspired. I’m up all night… I’m not sleeping because I’m just thinking about’— and that’s because I had two Celsius a day,” she said.
“I didn’t realize I was actually overdosing on caffeine,” she added.
Most Celsius flavors contain 200 milligrams of caffeine per can, while other varieties contain up to 270 milligrams of caffeine per can.

She said a costume designer on set eventually warned her about drinking, telling her, “You’re actually drinking four Red Bulls a day.”
When asked if it was “upsetting” when she found out, Johnson said with a laugh, “It was really upsetting. Yes, it was. But now I know that Celsius is in a difficult situation. And I’m asking for support, [because] I’m your girlfriend. Night shoots work very well.”

Energy drinks are not the only thing that the actress does not consume too much. She previously shared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that she really doesn’t like limes, despite the fruit being in her kitchen during Architectural Digest video showing her home.
“I’m mildly allergic to lime and cantaloupe,” she told Jimmy Fallon, noting that lime “makes my tongue itchy.”
