Hannah’s decision to join Dancing on Ice comes after she pulled out of the S Club 7 arena tour following the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend and bandmate Paul Cattermole in April.

Hannah joins Ricky Hatton MBE and Claire Sweeney in this year’s line-up.

On why he signed up for the show, world champion boxer Ricky told This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby: “To set a new challenge [for myself],” he began. “It’s well documented that I’ve struggled with retirement from boxing and I give a little for mental health and now I’m trying to give a little back. And what I’m banging on about is, ‘try to be busy’. When I retired, I was sitting there with nothing to do and my world came crashing down.”

He added: “If I can hold my temper in the boxing ring, I should be able to hold my temper on the ice rink.”

Meanwhile, actress Claire said: “I’m really looking forward to going to the rink with my son and actually being able to skate and not having to use the penguins they give you to keep you upright!”
