This weekend, Greg shared an emotional update about his recovery while posing with his daughter.
Now the long jump star has revealed the display routine he planned to do – and the moment it all went wrong.
The father-of-three uploaded a lengthy video to Instagram and wrote candidly: “Here we go. This is the showcase we didn’t get due to injury.
“The point where I dived through Colin and Brendyn’s legs is where it all went wrong last Sunday.”
It showed him gliding on his back across the ice in white before assuming a prone position and flying through their legs a second time.
Greg, while not detailing the exact nature of his injury, told of the blow to his stomach and how he now “hurts from laughing”.
So it suggests that this particular position may have been the cause.
He added: “This is from Friday or Saturday so I’ve still been working out a few timing issues (which I’m sure you’ll notice)
“I absolutely loved this presentation. Everyone involved worked so hard. Just look at the set too!! The guys behind the scenes never get enough credit, what they do in such a short amount of time is amazing.
“Having @torvillanddeanofficial choreograph a full routine for us was so special. Loved working with them.

“Even though I won’t be able to skate for maybe a few months. I intend to get back on the ice and keep it going. I really love it.”
His two-minute video emerged after he admitted he “wasn’t completely ready” for the show’s finale.
He was forced to leave Dancing On Ice due to a serious injury, just hours before his live performance in a major shake-up.
The ITV programme’s medic appeared on screen to break the news that the star had been injured in a “very serious accident” during rehearsals.
His professional skating partner Vanessa James then broke the news on social media, saying: “Unfortunately, Greg suffered a significant injury this morning at rehearsals and will not be able to perform tonight.
She then explained, “We’re on our way to the hospital for Greg to be checked out and get the treatment he needs.”
A spokesperson for the ITV show added at the time: “Unfortunately, Olympian Greg Rutherford MBE has had to pull out of Dancing on Ice after sustaining an injury while rehearsing for the final episode of the current series.
“Greg and Vanessa have been such a popular couple in this series and have performed some truly memorable routines.
“We will help support Greg and wish him a successful recovery.”
They added: “We’d also like to thank him for being such a valued member of the Dancing on Ice family.”
