Daniel Craig has no fond memories of filming his second James Bond film, A quantum of comfort.

“J—— nightmare,” he said, when he THR noted that the film was made during the Hollywood writers’ strike. Craig stated that the film “didn’t have a script” when they started production.
“We probably never should have gone ahead and started production, but we did. I ended up writing a lot of the movie — I probably shouldn’t say, and I don’t want credit, that’s fine — but we were in that state because that’s what we were allowed to do “, he said. “I was allowed to work. Under the WGA rules, we were allowed to work with the director and write the scenes. But there are amazing stunt sequences in it, and I’m still wearing the pins to prove it, so there’s a lot of great stuff about it in that sense, but it just didn’t work.”
“There was no storytelling,” he added. “And that’s a terrible lesson: starting a movie without a script is just not a good idea.”
