Danielle Bux is a Welsh actress and model best known as the ex-wife of Gary Lineker, a former England player and current sports commentator. Bux was born in Cardiff to parents Kim and Roy and attended Cantonian High School. Her grandfather immigrated to Cardiff from Pakistan after the Second World War and married her grandmother, who was Irish.

Her career
After completing her A-levels, Danielle was given the opportunity to represent the UK at Miss Hawaiian Tropic, which led to her landing many modeling jobs. But she was more interested in acting and enrolled in courses at the Guildhall in London. She starred in the film Calendar Girls at the Bristol Hippodrome in 2011. She appeared in the hit BBC One drama Silent Witness and the film We Are the Freaks in 2013. She also starred in the football film Kicking OFF and the crime television series Aquarius. In 2019, she starred in the comedy The Wedding Year with Sarah Hyland (of Modern Family).
Their refusal to have children broke up their seven-year marriage.
Danielle and Gary started dating in 2007 after being set up on a blind date and were married on September 2, 2009 in Ravello, Italy. But after seven years of marriage, they announced their divorce, citing Gary as the reason. Gary didn’t want to have any more children, but Danielle did. Gary believed he was too old to have children. Gary already has four grown-up children, Tobias, Angus, George and Harry, with ex-wife Michelle Cockayne.
