Danielle Galligan was born on 1 December 1992 (28 years old in 2020) in Rathfarnham, South Dublin. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. Danielle completed her education at Loretto High School in Beaufort, where she was a member of the Ann Kavanagh Youth Theatre. After graduating from Lir, Danielle began working as a producer at Rough Magic Theatre Company, assisting with the stage play Train. Danielle wrote the script for the stage play Inn 16 with Fionnuala Gygax and Ailish Leavy. In 2017, Danielle Galligan had the opportunity to play the role of Cinderella in the play Cinderella’s Grimm Tales. Danielle played the role of the titular heroine and the old woman who tells the story. In 2018, writer Tom Moran wrote a play Lyrics, in which Danielle played the lead role opposite him.
Danielle co-starred with Finbarr Doyle in the short play Summer Days, written by James Elliott. The play was shown at the 2018 Dublin Fringe Festival, the 2019 Drogheda Festival and the Abbey Theatre 2019 Young Curators Festival. Danielle and Finbarr were shortlisted for the Judges’ Choice Award in the Best Duo category. Galligan and Gavin Costic have been working together on a project since 2017 and in 2019 they co-wrote and performed the play Gym Swim Party. This play was also shown at the 2019 Dublin Fringe Festival.
