During her graduation, Darshana was elected as the general secretary of Jeevan Bharti Educational School, Vadodara, Gujarat in 1976. In 1980, she was elected as the class representative of Sir KP Commerce College, Surat. After graduation, she became the director of Mahila Nagrik Sahkari Bank, Surat, Gujarat in 1987. In 1995, she served as the convener of the Cultural Committee of the Surat Municipal School Board. In 2001, she was elected as a member of the board of the Gujarat State Social Welfare Board. In 2003, she served as the managing director of Mahila Nagrik Sahkari Bank, Surat. In 2004, she served as the vice-chairman of the Health Committee of the Surat Municipal Council. In 2009, Darshana participated in the 15th Lok Sabha elections and was elected as the BJP MP for the Surat constituency in Gujarat. In the same year, Darshana Jadosh supported the development of diamond trade in Surat district and requested the Indian government to build an international airport in Surat for this purpose. In 2014, she again contested the 16th Lok Sabha election and won by a margin of 5,33,190 votes, which is considered to be the highest margin achieved by a female MP in Indian electoral history after Indira Gandhi. In 2019, she again contested the 17th Lok Sabha election and won by a margin of 7,95,651 votes.

In 1999, Darshana Jardosh was elected President of the Sannari Women’s Lions Club of Surat. In 1999, Darshana was elected Director of Sanskruti, an arts and cultural organization dedicated to encouraging education for girls, raising political and social awareness among women and youth, and improving the status of women in India.

We have been telling the central government that Surat has the potential for domestic and international connectivity, but the UPA government did not think it was viable or had traffic. Now that SpiceJet has started operations, they (Congress) are scrambling to take the credit.”
