Darsheel Mitesh Safary was born on Sunday, March 9, 1997, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (26 years old; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Pisces. He attended Greenlawns High School in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Later, he completed his bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the Institute of Human Resources Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. Growing up in Mumbai, he joined Shiamak Davar’s dance academy but never expected to develop a career in the entertainment industry. His parents longed for him to become a business executive or jewelry designer. Safary was discovered by Indian screenwriter Amol Gupte in 2006 when he was participating in Shiamak Davar’s “Summer Funk” dance performance. He was selected to star in the film Taare Zameen Par which was shot in 2006-2007. Dahir, then 9, faced opposition from his school, but actor Aamir Khan made sure his studies didn’t suffer. Khan funded Dahir’s education and provided his personal tuition. Aamir also addressed the concerns of the school authorities.
