David Beckham Jokes About In-Law Lunch at the Ritz After Wife Victoria Cited ‘Working Class’ Roots in Documentary

David Beckham is doubling down on the now infamous exchange with his wife Victoria Beckham, who claimed in their documentary that she has “working class roots”.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, David, 48, shared a festive photo at a fancy table with his wife, 49, and her parents, all dressed up.

“Just a nice casual New Year’s lunch at the Ritz ❤️ @victoriabeckham. Very working class,” he teased, jokingly noting that his in-laws left in their “Rolls Royce”.

David, who was wearing a suit in the photo, was referring to the now viral clip from Netflix’s four-part documentary Beckhamwhich was published on October 4.

The video shows David playfully interrupting the Spice Girls alum during a sit-down discussion for the doctor. Victoria explained that she and David came from “very working-class” families, and as she finished her thought, her husband poked his head into the room during the interview and said, “Be honest.”

“I’m being honest,” Victoria replied with a hint of defensiveness.

David, however, didn’t seem convinced and then asked his wife, “Which car did daddy drive you to school in?”

After rambling back and forth about the specifics of the vehicle, he continued to repeat the question. Victoria eventually gave up. “OK, in the 80s my dad had a Rolls Royce.”

“Thank you,” David replied with a satisfied smile, closing the door and retreating back to the room he was in.

The parents to sons Brooklyn, 24, Cruz, 18, and Romeo, 21, along with daughter Harper, 12, are known for lovingly roasting each other online — and Victoria isn’t holding back on giving fans what they want: traps for thirst her tattooed husband.

Last month, the former pop star shared a cheeky photo of a shirtless David doing chores around the house in white Calvin Klein boxers.

“The electrician came to fix the TV…..You’re welcome! 😂”, the fashion designer wrote with the video.

David recently teased his “dramatic” wife for getting tired at the gym, sharing a cheeky photo of her “dozing” on the floor.

“Not that my wife is dramatic or anything, but this happened this morning,” he captioned a picture of Victoria lying on her back next to a treadmill. The athlete also added an eye-rolling emoticon and a GIF with the rotating sentence “I want to take a nap.”

All kidding aside, the couple doesn’t hesitate to share their love for each other and their family. Over Christmas, Victoria showed off several snaps of family fun during the Beckhams’ night out. “A special night with my family. I love you all so much x,” she wrote alongside the photos.

David, for his part, shared a featured photo of the pair embracing outside surrounded by palm trees with a margarita in front of them. “Merry Christmas to my amazing family and I feel so grateful for everything they do for me, I love you all 🩷.”
