Does David Beckham have a secret sibling?
In the hilarious trailer for Stella Artois’ upcoming Super Bowl 2025 ad, the 49-year-old football legend and his parents (played by actors) share a beer and some groundbreaking news.
“We have something to tell you,” Mom tells him. “You have a twin we never told you about – left him in America,” rings his dad. “I always knew something was missing,” answers the athlete, whom his father says is “another David.”
“You called him another David?” David asks, and his dad bluntly replies, “If there are two Davids, one must be the other David.”
His parents go over photos of the Davids, but can’t agree which baby is which until David interrupts, “Basically, where is he?” Upbeat music starts playing and text on the screen reads “Who is the other David?” as the ad concludes.

In a press release shared with PEOPLE, Stella Artois said the “big reveal” will take place during the Super Bowl.
This isn’t the first time the former player has worked with a European-style beer company. Last year, Beckham, who is a global ambassador for Stella Artois, shot another ad in which he was “humiliated” when several women didn’t recognize him in a bar.
Although Beckham doesn’t actually have a missing twin – he does have a pair of siblings, an older sister, Lynne, and a younger sister, Joanne. The trio, all born to soccer star parents, Ted Beckham and Sandra West, grew up together in East London.

Although they no longer live under the same roof, Beckham is known for playfully teasing his sisters on social media. In 2022, he shared a selfie on Instagram of himself having dinner with his mom, captioning it: “Sorry @jo_jo_beckham_ the 👑 was home for dinner 😂.”
Beckham is also a doting uncle to several nieces and nephews: In 2018, Joanne shared a photo of her daughter sporting the same hairstyle as her brother, captioning the post “LOVE . MY . UNCLE … like me and Uncle David have the same hair! I think he copied me 😂@davidbeckham ! ❤.”

Apart from his family, the former England football captain recently made headlines when, in an interview at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, he considered himself a “big royalist”.
“I always get emotional when I talk about anything I do with our royal family,” he told CNBC’s Sarah Eisen during their onstage conversation. “I was raised in a household that adored and loved everything that came with royalty.”

“I’ve worked a lot with the Prince of Wales over the years,” he continued, referring to Prince William. “Whenever the Prince of Wales texts me and says, ‘You’re needed to do this’ or ‘Be there’, it’s always ‘Yes’. ”
Despite his love of the crown, he’s previously crossed the bar for Super Bowl Sunday, starring in an Uber Eats commercial last year with his wife Victoria, where they recreated their viral Netflix clip “Be Honest” Beckham documentary.
