Dax Shepard has some thoughts on his wife’s latest role — as well as her kissing technique.
The Armchair expert podcaster talked about Kristen Bell’s on-screen chemistry with Adam Brody in the Netflix romance series Nobody wants this during the New Yorker Festival on Saturday, October 26.
Shepard, 49, briefly touched on his first podcast episode – which starred Bell, 44 – and working together on Samsung commercials, while focusing on how they play off each other.
When asked about their “amazing chemistry,” Shepard had an unexpected answer. “She’s not as good as her and Brody,” he said OC alum, 44.

“My friend…we watched that scene together, the kissing scene, which I would say is the best kissing scene ever, ever put on film,” Shepard continued of the cuddles shared between his wife and Brody’s characters on the show. .
“And my best friend, Aaron, from childhood says, ‘Did she ever kiss you like that?’ No, I didn’t even know you could kiss like that,” he added.
According to the Netflix synopsis, Nobody wants this followed by “agnostic sex podcaster [Bell] and a newly minted rabbi [Brody] [who] fall in love.” However, their romance begs the question – “can their relationship survive their wildly different lives and family interference?”

On October 10, the series, which is partially based on the true love story of Erin Foster, was renewed for a second season.
Bell previously talked about her and Brody’s steamy scenes — and how Shepard responded enthusiastically.
“Even I can admit to watching it, I’m like, ‘Wow, that’s cool,'” Bell told E! News. “My husband said the same thing. Like, watching the first episode he said, ‘Oh my God, I want you to kiss him so bad.’ ”

The Frozen The actress also admitted that it was a calculated process, although her and Brody’s performances were flawless for the audience watching at home. “I’m not trying to be reductive, but I think there’s math to it,” Bell explained.
“You have two actors who know how to look beautifully into each other’s eyes, and you have to have the confidence to extend that and really feel the value of anticipation before a kiss — which I think is really important,” she added.
