Official logo for Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming DC superhero movie black adam It was revealed that it refers to the character’s Shazam! connect. The film is one of Johnson’s most passionate projects, as he has watched various versions of it for more than a decade. The character was originally set to debut in a David F. Sandberg movie Shazam! But that was canceled and replaced with a solo movie that explored the characters’ origins.
Filming on the film was originally scheduled to begin this summer, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, pre-production is still underway despite the new filming date being early 2021, with Johnson revealing his first look at the character yesterday before receiving his first look at the film at DC FanDome event today, revealed the trailer for Great Woman 1984 and behind the scenes suicide squad. Johnson took it upon himself to moderate the panel, which included a few surprises.
One of the surprises at the DC FanDome panel was the reveal of the movie’s official logo. The title handle is black, and the second “A” in Adam is in the shape of a lightning bolt. The logo’s black and gold colors also complement the outfit and coordinate with Shazam! clear. Apparently, these two characters are destined to meet at some point in the DC Extended Universe.
