The latest episode of DC Universe giant The series explores the sinister, twisted history of falcons and pigeons. This is a rather surprising move, as the previous episode had a gripping ending where it looked like Starfire was going to kill Raven. Furthermore, “Hank & Dawn” is truly one of the most embarrassing TV episodes of all time. Actors Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly have a solid cast, but unfortunately, the entire episode is pretty clumsy in terms of narrative. It included the show’s first nude scene, a flashback to the first time Hawk and Dove had sex directly after killing the pedophile who assaulted Hank as children.
Narrative structure giant Really starting to spoil the series. There are too many side adventures that take viewers away from the main story of Raven and Starfire. Some of them are pretty good (e.g., “Jason Todd” is the highlight of the series), but the show lacks direction. Next week’s episode is titled “Koriand’r,” so it’s at least safe to assume it will explain the plot of Starfire – but who knows if it will actually solve that spoiler.

As a standalone episode, “Hank and Dawn” doesn’t ask as many questions as the average giant episode. That’s because, except for a few expressions of Raven’s mind, it’s completely self-contained. But let’s get to the bottom line – most notably why Raven wanted the Titans to find Jason Todd in the first place.
8) What is the point of this episode?
giant Hawk and Dove, who are introduced to the audience in the second episode, are like cannon fodder showing how dangerous nuclear families can be. Dove was severely injured and comatose after being thrown through the aviary and fell to the ground to his death. Honestly, feeling like hawks and doves doesn’t matter much to the stars giant – so it seems like viewers shouldn’t care about them either.
This makes the decision to dedicate the entire episode to exploring the history of Hawke and Dove a bit of a surprise. So far, the show has given no indication that Hawk and Dove matter; then, suddenly, without warning, giant It takes almost 50 minutes to tell you everything you need to know about the character (and more). That becomes all the more confusing because it comes right after a dramatic ending that carries with it such a promise. Maybe Hawk and Dove have a problem in some way.

The central idea of ”Hank & Dawn” is that both characters are trapped in their memories, a strange shared nightmare. Disappointed to see Dove’s still body, Hawke decides to steal some medicine from the hospital and goes into a coma. He broke the lock of the drug store and snuck in and broke into the cabinet to steal some pills. Despite Hawke’s stealthy efforts, there’s one odd detail. He left the door of the storage room open so anyone passing by could see him trying to get into the medicine cabinet.

6) What is post-concussion syndrome?
Flashbacks show Hank Hall as a scholarship student with post-concussion syndrome. It’s a complex disorder that can last for weeks, sometimes months, after you’ve had a concussion. Typical symptoms include dizziness, headache, fatigue, anxiety, irritability, sensitivity to noise and light, and ringing in the ears. However, to make matters worse, Hawke suffered several concussions during his fellowship. He is so lucky to be alive. Unable to get into the sport, Hawk decided to tackle the next best thing and became a vigilante. In a flashback, his brother tries to make him wear a helmet to protect his head during a fight, but he refuses. No wonder the Hawk doesn’t seem to be doing well; he definitely doesn’t care about his health, and the medical bills are definitely starting to pile up.
5) Did Donny’s death weaken Dawn a bit?
The flashback shows Hank starting his superhero career working alongside his half-brother Donny, the First Dove. An effective team, two brothers, both trained in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat, begin targeting pedophiles like the one who hunted Hank as a child. Tragically, Donnie was killed in a tragic car crash – the same accident as Dawn’s mother. Hank and Dawn become close, and Dawn learns the truth about Hank’s secret identity. In the end she became the second pigeon.
The relationship between Hank and Dawn is fascinating, two broken people trying to find peace by defeating the bad guys. But the idea that Dawn inherited the “Dove” mantle from Hank’s brother is an odd one. Not only does this seem a bit tasteless, but it also adds an oddity to Hank and Dawn’s sexual relationship. That’s one of the problems of this episode giant: It doesn’t seem to always be particularly aware of the messages it sends about characters.

4) What happened between Robin and Dove?
Hawk and Dove have great chemistry, and their flirting is natural and effective. But here’s the fun thing: Episode 2 reveals that Dove also had a romance with Robin when the duo went to Gotham for a while. Previous episodes have revealed that Hawke has a deep hatred for Robin. Maybe it’s because Dick and Dawn are secretly dating behind Hank’s back – something Hank finally realizes.

Of course, it’s not clear why she needs to go through Hawk and Dove instead of getting into Jason’s mind herself.
