Halle Bailey and DDG have split, the social media star has announced.
In a statement shared on his Instagram Stories on Thursday, October 3, DDG, 26, wrote: “Dear friends and fans, after much thought and honest conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. It was not an easy decision , but we believe it’s the best part for both of us, I appreciate the time we spent together and the love we shared.”
“Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and genuine. We are still best friends and adore each other,” DDG, born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., continued.

The couple, who were first romantically involved in January 2022, welcomed son Halo in late 2023.
DDG said that going forward, he and The little mermaid star, 24, will “focus on our personal journeys and our roles as co-parents” as they “cherish the bond we’ve built and the good times we’ve shared.”
He then asked fans for their “understanding and support” as they “navigate this transition.”

“Thank you for your love and encouragement — DDG,” he concluded.
In August 2022, shortly after their romance went public, Bailey said she was “definitely” in love with the “I’m Geekin'” rapper.
“I grew up on YouTube and I would always see young black creators and I was constantly inspired by them,” she said in Essence’s Cover for September/October 2022 – He was one of them.
She continued: “I had completely forgotten about him. But then I saw that he was giving up music, and I really gravitated towards this one song. He accidentally messaged me – and the rest is history.”

Since the announcement, Bailey has not spoken publicly about the breakup.
