Dean Martin was born Dino Paul Crocetti in Steubenville, Ohio on June 7, 1917. Similarly, he was an American citizen and was born under the sign of Gemini. To start with his family, he was born to Gaetano and Angela Crocetti. His father was a barber from Italy, and his mother was of Italian descent. Similarly, he had an older brother, Alfonso Crocetti. It did not go well, and the owner of the show advised them to work on the act. They chose to be more edgy in their presentations, incorporating songs, slapstick and traditional vaudeville humor. The audience loved the “wild” performance, and the duo was praised for their improvised performances. That act finally secured them a string of lucrative engagements along the East Coast and a race at New York’s Copacabana. Dean Martin has also appeared in several short and feature films. However, his breakout performance in 1957’s Ten Thousand Bedrooms was a box office disappointment. Martin’s role in the film ‘Young Lions’ from 1958 represented a turning point in his acting career. In the following decade, he established himself as a movie star, starring alongside Frank Sinatra in films such as Some Ran. He was also nominated for a Golden Globe for his work in ‘Who Was That Lady?’ and went on to star in films such as ‘Ocean’s 11’, ‘Sergeants 3’ and ‘Who’s Got Action?’

After performing with Frank Sinatra, the two became friends and formed a band with Joey Bishop, Peter Lawford and Sammy Davis Jr. The two of them collaborated on films for a long time and became so famous that they influenced their political views.
