The Debra Jeter case
On June 5, 2009, Debra Janelle Jeter assaulted and physically assaulted her two daughters, Kiersten Jeter and Kelsey Jeter, resulting in the death of Kelsey Jeter. Kelsey was 12 years old at the time of the murder.
This incident occurred at a dilapidated residence near Hillsboro off of I-77. Speaking of which, 12-year-old Kelsey Leanne Jeter was found dead inside the home. However, 13-year-old Kiersten Leigh Jeter was discovered with varying degrees of injuries.

Charges were filed after the findings, and 13-year-old Kiersten Leigh Jeter was rushed to hospital for treatment. At the same time, the morgue received the body of Kelsey Leanne Jeter for a possible autopsy.
Online sources claim that Kiersten and her sister Kelsey were delighted to see their mother again after a “15 day absence”. Then, after telling her husband Lester Lee Jeter, now divorced from her, that her prime suspect, Debra Jeter, was setting up a surprise date for her two daughters, he agreed.
Debra Jeter later drove her two daughters to an abandoned apartment on Interstate 77 near Route 35 in Milford after picking them up from school. She allegedly began using the knife to attack her eldest daughter, Kiersten, who then yelled at her brother and sister to run.
Kiersten Jeter sustained stab wounds to her back and other parts of her body while trying to defend herself and her younger sister. Debra Jeter would later slit Kelsey’s throat, killing her.
Debra Jeter, the prime suspect in the heinous incident and later revealed to be the mother of two victims, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on May 27, 2010. A Texas court judge found her guilty and sentenced her.
The charges against him included the first-degree murder of 12-year-old Kelsey Leanne Jeter and the attempted murder of 13-year-old Kiersten Leigh Jeter.
