  • In 2017, Deepak’s wife Shivani apparently kicked him out of their house in Goregaon, Mumbai. Shivani reportedly discovered her husband’s affair with a yoga instructor. She also accused Deepak of domestic violence. After the incident, Deepak began staying at friends’ houses or private homes. Things got out of hand between them and both filed for divorce and Shivani also filed for alimony, saying:

    I am an abandoned wife. I can’t maintain my expenses. My husband has the responsibility to do what is necessary for me and my daughter.

    However, to their surprise, their marriage was eventually annulled. Because Shivani never divorced her husband.

  • His film Do Lafzon Ki Kahani (2016) has already created controversy among the public for its intimate scenes. Lead actress Kajal Aggarwal; lashed out at director on TV talk show; admitted her mental anguish while acting out scenes. Kajal also said that she will not work with Deepak again.
