Her father Ashwini Kumar Nagpal is an actor and her mother Sharda Panchotia is a producer and actress. Her grandfather Vithaldas Panchotia is an actor and director. She has an elder sister, Aarti Nagpal or Aakriti Nagpal, who is also an actress.
Relationships, husbands and children
In 1997, she married Jeet Upendra and after ten years of marriage, they divorced in 2007. Deepshikha has two children with him: a daughter, Vidhika Upendra, and a son, Vivaan Upendra.
She married actor and model Keshav Arora in 2012. Their relationship lasted only four years and in 2016, Deepshikha and Keshav divorced.
Talking about her divorce from Keshav, she said in an interview,
He betrayed me. I want him to leave. I don’t want to be with a man who doesn’t take care of his family. “I saw a few messages on his phone that showed he was having an affair. Don’t be surprised if he’s already looking for a new partner. He’s a sick, neurotic, manipulative man. He’s also abusive; I can’t stand that.”

She made her acting debut in the Bollywood film Betaaj Badshah (1994). She played the role of ‘Neelam Pari’ in the Indian Television’s television serial Dastaan E Hatimtai (1996). She came to the limelight with her role in the hit television serial Shaktimaan (1997), in which she played the roles of Paroma and Sheraali.
In 1997, she gained popularity for her role as ‘Bindya’ in the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Koyla’.
She has acted in many Bollywood films such as Baadshah (1999), Agniputra (2000), Partner (2007) and Bhram: An Illusion (2008).
She has acted in several television serials including Karishma – The Miracles of Destiny (2003), Son Pari (2000), Baa Bahoo Aur Baby (2005), Baal Veer (2013) and Main Bhi Ardhangini’ (2019).
In 2013, she participated in the television dance reality show “Nach Baliye 5” along with her ex-husband Keshav Arora.
In 2014, she participated as a contestant in the popular television reality show Bigg Boss 8. Although the title was won by TV actor Gautam Gulati, Deepshikha was one of the strongest contestants in Bigg Boss 8 .

In 2016, she filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband, Keshav Arora, alleging that he physically abused her. In an interview, she said:
Yes, it’s true. We tried our best to be together, but things weren’t working out between us. We’re not going to be together. I don’t want to get into the details of what went wrong. There is no market for your sorrows in this world, so never publicize them. All I can say is that I’m not complaining because I don’t want anyone to know who I am, so I don’t want to comment. ”

- She won the title of ‘Miss India’ in 2003 and was the runner-up in the ‘Kohinoor Woman of the Year’ competition in the same year.
- In 2011, she produced the Bollywood film Yeh Dooriyaan. She worked as an actor, producer, director, casting director, story writer, script writer, dialogue writer, choreographer and post-production assistant in this film. Her name is in the Limka Book of Records 2012 and the Asian Book of Records 2011 as the first Asian woman to manage nine departments simultaneously.
