When Balraj Syal was asked why Deepti decided to tie the knot with her, Balraj replied:
It was an easy decision for me. She understood my silence and the way she cared for me when I was sick on my birthday sealed the deal for me. Deepti’s husband credits his wife with having an impact on his life. He said,
Earlier, I used to do what I wanted to do, but now, my wife Deepti guides me on what to do and what not to do. She told me what would hold me back and what would help me become a better person. Life has changed, but forever. It has gotten better. I think now is the perfect time to get married. For us (artists), when we decide to get married, it’s generally about taking a break, preparing for the wedding, and spending time with our partner. But because of the epidemic, we have already taken a vacation, and there is no need to take a vacation. “
On October 12, 2020, the couple released a song titled Maahi through their YouTube channel Realize Music. Deepti lends her vocals to this song composed by Oye Kunaal.
