Tanjiro And Two Hashira Will Have To Defend The Swordsmith Village In Season 3 Of Demon Slayer
In Demon Slayer, Japan is plagued by demons, monstrous creatures who survive by eating human flesh. A paramilitary organization called Demon Slayer Corps works to eradicate their threat, and eliminate the king and creator of demons, Muzan. The Hashira (Pillars) are the most powerful Demon Slayers, who have mastered the breathing techniques that allow fighting on par with their superhuman foes. Their equivalent among the demons are the Kizuki, the elites under Muzan’s direct command. The six Upper Ranks are the most powerful, and in Season 3 the young protagonist, Tanjiro, will have to face two, counting on the help of two Hashira.
Season 3 of Demon Slayer will take place mainly in the Swordsmith Village, a hidden location where a clan of weaponsmiths has worked for generations to forge the Demon Slayers’ special katana, the Nichirin Swords, forged from a unique ore that constantly absorbs sunlight, one of the few major weaknesses of demons. To protect the swordsmiths from the demons, the location of the village is kept an absolute secret, but when Tanjiro has to go there to receive a new sword, he will soon have to fight to defend the village and its inhabitants from two powerful Upper Kizuki. Luckily he will have the help of two Hashira, including the powerful Mitsuri Kanroji.
Season 3 of Demon Slayer was anticipated by Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village, a feature-length cut of the final two episodes of Season 2 (the Entertainment District Arc) along with an extended version of Episode 1 of the Swordsmith Village Arc, shown in Japanese theaters on February 3, followed by screenings in the US in March. Crunchyroll aired Season 2 shortly after its debut in Japan, so it’s likely that Western fans will get their chance to watch Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Swordsmith Village Arc as soon as April.
