Denzel Washington and Rami Malek’s police thriller “The Little Things” is set for release on January 29, 2021, according to Warner Bros.
The film, directed by John Lee Hancock from his own screenplay, stars Malek as a brilliant LASD detective and Denzel Washington as a burned-out Bakersfield sheriff’s deputy on the hunt for a serial killer. Washington’s nose for the titular “little things” proves accurate, but his willingness to break the law puts Malek’s character in a difficult situation.
Also included are Natalie Morales and Jared Leto. “The Little Things” is produced by Hancock and Mark Johnson, with Mike Drake serving as executive producer.
The date was provided by Warner Bros. with an untitled film, and on Friday the studio said “The Little Things” will take its place. Paramount’s animated monster wrestling movie “Rumble” is also slated to screen that day.
Malek joined “Little Things” last year after taking home the best actor Oscar for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the commercial success “Bohemian Rhapsody.” After that, Malek was cast as the antagonist in “No Time to Die”, the 25th James Bond film. On April 9, “No Time to Die” will debut.
Washington most recently appeared as Robert McCall, a retired intelligence officer, in “The Equalizer 2” in 2018. With more than $190 million at the box office, the sequel did well.
The 2019 release grossed $155.7 million globally and $57 million domestically. The second sequel “Escape Room 2”, which was first scheduled for April 17 this year, is now available.
Holland Roden, Indya Moore, Thomas Cocquerel, Carlito Olivero and Isabelle Fuhrman appear in the suspenseful film. The roles of Taylor Russell and Logan Miller are reprising.
Double film “Quiet place” and “Quiet place II. part” will be shown at Paramount Pictures on March 18 – the day before the sequel begins. Dolby Cinema and Premium Large Format cinemas will be the only ones showing the double feature.
The sequel will once again be directed by John Krasinski, with Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe reprising their roles. adding Cillian Murphy to the cast. Last year, “A Quiet Place” earned $340 million worldwide. For her role in the horror-thriller, Blunt received a Screen Actors Guild Award in the supporting actress category.
