Destiny 2: How To Get The Stay Frosty Pulse Rifle (& God Roll)

Stay Frosty is a new Pulse Rifle introduced during the Dawning in Destiny 2. This Stasis weapon is a solid pick for Stasis builds and all-around play. Stay Frosty can roll with some great Perks and comes with a new Origin Trait, exclusive to guns from the Dawning event.

Guardians can earn Stay Frosty for a limited time, only during the event period. Players have slightly under three weeks to get their desired God Roll, as the Dawning ends on January 3, 2023. Guardians are guaranteed to earn a curated roll of this Pulse Rifle in Destiny 2 from Eva Levante. The reward is obtained from completing the introduction quest, aptly named, The Dawning. Once finished, Guardians can start earning random versions of Stay Frosty.

Destiny 2 Stay Frosty Pulse Rifle Perks Intrinsic Traits

There are two methods for acquiring the new Pulse Rifle during the Dawning event. Players can either purchase Stay Frosty directly from Eva Levante or open a Gift in Return. This event package can be opened to grant a wide range of rewards. While the odds are low, players can earn the Stay Frosty Pulse Rifle. Alternatively, Guardians can purchase the weapon directly, at the cost of 25 Dawning Spirit and 1 Gift in Return. The best way to earn both of these event items is by delivering baked cookies in Destiny 2.

One of the many God Rolls for Stay Frosty is displayed in the above table. The Pulse Rifle comes with a base 55 recoil direction stat. This can be turned into an even 100 with the 30 granted by Arrowhead Break and a Counterbalance Stock weapon mod. Besides the slight range increase, Armor-Piercing Rounds deal extra damage to shields and overpenetrate targets. Encore further increases range with a stacking bonus, while also increasing stability and accuracy. Headstone is an amazing Perk to have on any Stasis weapon in Destiny 2 because having more ways to spawn crystals is great for Stasis builds. These two Perks are great together since precision kills are needed for Headstone, which also grant increased stacks of Encore. The new Dawning Origin Trait for Stay Frosty is called Dawning Surprise. Rapidly defeating targets will spawn a Dawning gift, which gives ability energy, healing, and health regeneration.

The base stats of Stay Frosty are comparable to other Pulse Rifles, like the BxR-55 Battler. However, this new weapon from the Dawning event can come with some fantastic Perks. Guardians looking for a solid Stasis Pulse Rifle should get Stay Frosty in Destiny 2.
