She was also charged with child abandonment contrary to the Children and Young Persons Act 1933.

She appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today wearing a face mask, a black coat, jeans and trainers.

She seemed broken as she clutched the red heart toy frantically and slumped down in her seat before being told to stand up.

The 29-year-old spoke only to confirm her name, age and address before District Judge Sarah Turnock referred the case to the Old Bailey.

She was accompanied by her family, including her mother and siblings, who sat behind the court in tears.

Judge Turnock granted Rose, from Sutton, bail on four conditions, including that he remain at his registered address, surrender his passport, have no travel documents and stay away from “travel hubs”.

Rose nodded when asked if she understood the terms, before the judge added: “These are serious offences.”

It follows the tragic deaths of two sets of twin brothers – Leyton and Logan Hoath, three, and Kyson and Bryson Hoath, four.

Emergency services were called to a fire at an address in Collingwood Road, Sutton, at around 7pm on 16 December 2021.

A huge inferno swept through the entire ground floor of the middle terraced house, burying the four boys in smoke.

About sixty firefighters arrived at the scene in less than three minutes and tried to save the boys.

The children were pulled out of the fiery element by the firemen’s heroes, but tragically there was no way to save them.

Doctors tried to perform CPR outside the house where the brothers’ unopened Christmas presents lay under the tree in ashes.

The case will next be heard at the Old Bailey on January 8.
