Devin Strader Says 'My Decisions Were Reaffirmed in Breaking Up with' Jenn Tran When He Saw Her Scenes with Marcus

Devin Strader says Marcus Shoberg played a factor in his breakup with Jenn Tran.

A few days after the couple publicly announced their divorce Bachelor Season 21 Finale After the Final Rose special, Devin claims that his decision was “reconfirmed” when he saw her scenes with Marcus.

“Being on a show and rewatching episodes back to back is something that most people, probably a lot of people, will not and can never understand,” Devin said in a lengthy Instagram video on Tuesday, September 10.

“I had to clearly watch me play second to somebody else, and that’s fine, you know, we went with that. I wasn’t her first choice,” Devin said. “But then again, a relationship is two people, and that’s part of growing together. You know, I don’t blame her for the feelings she had for Marcus, but, you know, I wasn’t made aware of that even during our relationship.”

The trucking company owner went on to mention some of the transgressions that Jenn had previously called him out for, including becoming more distant after the engagement in Hawaii.

“I only became aware of it during the decision to communicate less after the breakup, after the breakup almost a month later, you know, so it’s hard to go through, and you know, at that point I felt like my decisions were reaffirmed in the breakup with her.” , Devin said.

“You know, I felt like I made the right choice. So, yeah, maybe I was a little more callous until the last few weeks toward [After the Final Rose]but it wasn’t intentional,” he continued. “It wasn’t, you know, something I felt I was doing out of malice.”

Devin ended his video by saying that he’s “not trying to play the victim” and that he’s trying to “explain my feelings and my side of the story because, again, my truth, I feel, is also important in this situation.”

Entering the final leg of their journey, Jenn and her people arrive in Seattle.

While speaking with Jesse Palmer in the After the Final Rose studio, Marcus admitted that some of his final scenes with Jenn were “hard” to watch.
