- Cookie Cohen predicted Taylor Swift’s recent party attire back in March, when she posted a photoshopped image of the star wearing a Vivienne Westwood skirt
- The 27-year-old fan was stunned to see Swift wearing the same outfit on Monday while hosting a party for her Eras Tour staff in London on August 12.
- Cohen tells PEOPLE he believes the singer may have actually taken inspiration from her Swift-focused Instagram styling page @YouBelonginThis
Fans were in awe of Taylor Swift’s recent night out in London, but one super-Swiftie was particularly thrilled to see the singer in a particularly stylish Vivienne Westwood skirt on Monday.
In May 2023, Cookie Cohen (27) opened an Instagram account called @YouBelonginThis, where she comes up with haute couture outfits she thinks the “Cruel Summer” star should wear. The site features photoshopped images of Swift’s looks by luxury brands such as Schiaparelli, Jacquemus, and Acne Studio, among others.
Cohen tells PEOPLE that she’s not a professional stylist, but she keeps up with fashion on the catwalks. She opened the account after spotting a few outfits she thought would look great on Swift.
“I would just say, ‘Oh, this is very Taylor,'” the New Yorker recalls. When she saw the Grammy winner in photos, Cohen couldn’t help but dream of adding her own touch to the outfit. She started putting fashion clothes on photos of Swift on the red carpet or out and about.
In March, she pseudo-styled the pop sensation in a Vivienne Westwood tartan ensemble — with a retail price of more than $2,000 — that she wore to her Eras Tour staff party on Aug. 12. Cohen Photoshopped the look during photos of Swift walking alongside friend and collaborator Gracie Abrams. Echoing the lyrics from Swift’s hit “Champagne Problems,” the caption read, “November flush and @viviennewestwood flannel cure.”

This week, the star wore white socks under pistachio platform Mary Jane heels from Sézane, while Cohen’s personal vision paired a matching skirt and jacket with chunky ruby loafers and knee-high socks (as styled for Vivienne Westwood’s fall lookbook).
After photos of Swift’s London look were released, Cohen received tons of Instagram DMs from her 21,800 followers sharing news of Swift’s latest look. “Everybody said, ‘Cookie, look, she’s wearing your clothes!’ ” recalls the fan. “I was losing.”
It was an incredible coincidence – or wasn’t it? At first, Cohen didn’t really think she could have influenced Swift’s style. She tells PEOPLE that the more she thought about it, the more she thought her content could have reached someone in the hitmaker’s inner circle, if not Swift herself.
“It’s either the weirdest coincidence ever, or she was bored on the flight to London and was checking the bill, because we know she has eyes everywhere,” Cohen says.
Swift is known to communicate with her fans through Easter eggs in songs, interviews and fashion choices, so Cohen thinks a nod to her styling page isn’t far off the table.

“I just love how she communicates with her fans using these codes,” he says of Swift. If this was a compliment to the Instagram account, Cohen adds, “She decided to send a message to me and her fans that she sees us and what we do and appreciates it. It’s great to have a community-supported outlet that she sees and supports!”
Cohen has not yet reached out to Swift’s team, but if she steps out in another look shown on @YouBelonginThis, Cohen tells PEOPLE he plans to reach out. He has a few more ideas on how the industry icon can best strut his stuff.
For example, she appreciates Swift’s love of the skirt look, especially when she pairs it with lower shoes — like loafers or sneakers — instead of boots, “just to elongate her legs even more,” notes Cohen. And according to the style-savvy content creator, Swift can’t go wrong with tight, body-hugging tops: “Then I see her and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, she’s killing it,'” says Cohen.
Whether or not Swift directly inspired her fashion-forward fan, Vivienne Westwood’s look convinced Cohen that she really has a handle on the megastar’s sense of style.
“I’m very proud of myself, because it means I know what she would wear. I don’t put on her what I would wear, I put on her what she would wear,” Cohen tells PEOPLE. “It’s really out of love. I’m a Swiftie first and a fashionista second.”
